The house was designed as a prototype for architect Roy Grounds project ten years later, the prestigious National Gallery of Victoria located on Melbourne, Australia. Imagine living in a prototype? The prototype was awarded: The Victorian Architecture Medal in 1954 for excellence!

Living in pitch perfect
There is something very grand about having an exposed ceiling. Rendered pitched ceilings with exposed beams, exposed trusses show structure and add architectural integrity.
When considering my renovation the final stage of the renovation is to include an exposed ceiling. In particular the white brick fireplace (image 1) is my intention considering my current home is a 60s bungalow.

Getting started, getting quotes for works
It’s been a while & I’ve gone silent.
That because.. I’ve been really nailing down the plan. And I have even made my first purchase! (Will show you in the next post)
We also received our first quote for removing the existing 70s gas cylinder replacing it with an external instant gas unit. The cost is $2560AU.
Our first step is to get the back powder room converted into the main bathroom!
Thanks for your patience.
